Morning Mavis
Thanks for your comments.
Wow you lucky thing going to the Quilt Shoq. You seem to have made the most of your opportunity. I do find them overwhelming at times. Its like info overload all the stuff you see. I tend to go with a plan or list.
The Textile Arts Festival is on in Brisbane 29th May. I aim to go ( Dale is having a stand whoopee) Shall go down for the day then plan to catch a plane to Darwin ( leaves at 9pm) and visit my son - and newborn grandchild that is due 8th April. Would loveto take a class at the Koalla Convention in June but really can't afford it
Rebecca has moved to Adelaide but still with Central credit union

Hi Mavis,
Was interested in your comments on the AQC. I didn't get there as it's too far for me from Lakes Entrance, but my sister went. She thought the area alloted to the traders could've been bigger, thus eliminating the crowd scenes and the queues to get in were pretty long apparently. She wanted to do one of the 1st workshops, but by the time she got in and raced to the stall to pay & buy the required kit, it was another race to get there on time. I think quite a few of the participants were "panting" when they got to the workroom and not from excitement either!!
I see you came from NT; is this a holiday for you or did you particularly want to do some of the workshops.

Thanks for your reply. It sounds as if you had fun at Geelong. Are you going to post a photo of "no Longer a Virgin"? also your embellisher piece?
It turns out that my machine is not suitable for the flower stitch foot (a Pfaff 2044) so I borrowed my daughter-in=laws machine (an Elna) and lo and behold it works, but i'm unable to fit the thickness I want under the foot, so I think I'll just embroider by hand. Guess its something to do in front of telly!
I would love to read your "No Longer a Virgin" piece when you write it. Perhaps you you might submit to Textile Fibre Forum, I think that there would be lots of people who would be interested.
Hello Mavis,
I'm wondering if you can help me with some advice as to how to successfully use the flower stitch foot. I've just bought one and so far am not having much success, despite a lot of experimentation!!!
Cheers Bev
Hi Mavis,
I' m home again and trying to catch up with everything and everyone. Did you have a great time at Geelong? How did the book go? I haven't done anything for 2 months (except get lots of inspiration) so hope I can start again soon.
Bye for now, Bev
